Meet the Founder

Hi! I'm Sophia Hou, and I'm a high school sophomore in New Jersey. Using funds from a science fair, I started STEMagic in 2024 because I noticed that there's a lack of affordable STEM kits, and I want to show kids they can learn STEM at home. I designed the projects and illustrated the booklets to inspire kids in my community and beyond! Outside of STEM, I love baking and swimming.

Surbhi Choubey

Hi, my name is Surbhi. I’ve been interested in STEM for my whole life. Specifically, I like engineering and biology. I think it’s really important to make STEM fields feel accessible to everyone, including younger kids. Additionally, I enjoy field hockey and art.

Ellie Mielke

Hi, I’m Ellie! I’m really excited to join STEMagic because I believe everyone deserves the chance to at least try out STEM. I love swimming as well as drawing on my iPad. My favorite book genre is murder mysteries.

Reginae Bendolph

Hi, my name is Reginae. I'm passionate about STEM, and I hope that other kids can find out if their passion is STEM too! I’m especially a huge fan of math, and I'd love to assist in cultivating the love for it in others as well. I love to read fantasy books and play games of all sorts.

Ari Romanoff

Hi, I'm Ari. I enjoy playing tenor saxophone and clarinet. I'm also an avid Pokémon Trading Card Game player.

Rhea Vasavada

Rhea is a freshman at Newark Academy.
